Based upon the container I use to freeze the ice cream, this recipe yields about 8 cups of ice cream. You may get more or less, depending on how much air is incorporated during the freezing process. I have a 2-quart ice cream maker, and Proceed With Caution (blog where I found the base recipe) states that it works with her 1.5 quart maker.

One of these days I’m going to break down and buy an ice cream machine, and this will definitely be on my list of must-make ice creams!
